American Chopsticks - Benchmark STL File
We get A LOT of emails from people who have trouble printing their American Chopsticks, and unfortunately we can't troubleshoot everyone's printer settings!
So we designed this FREE Print-In-Place weird fidgeter thing, that's really a benchmark test file for the American Chopsticks. Basically, if you can print this without any failures, you should be able to print the American Chopsticks.
Common Issues:
"Elephants Foot": if your first layers are a bit squished, you'll need to adjust your Z-height settings or reduce print temp
Bed Adhesion: this print has small features, like gear teeth, that can be hard to get to stick to the bed. You will need your print temp and bed temp to be dialed in, or even a bit of glue from a glue stick on the bed
Warping: there's also long and thin elements that may want to warp off the bed, so adjust your bed temp and try printing in a room with a consistent air temp
And if all else fails, see if you've got a local makerspace! They'll probably have a 3D printing guru who can help
